Web Designer/Web Development Consultants Calgary, ALBERTA

Dextrus Prosoft is an enterprise open source software consulting services firm based in Calgary, Alebrta. We are a growing start-up, and thrive on providing cutting edge solutions to our clients and partners. As part of our growing portfolio of Web-related projects, we are currently seeking to fill the position of Web Designer/Web Development Consultants. 

As a Web Designer/Web Development Consultant you should be enthusiastic about programming and willing to spend approximately 90% of your time doing hands-on code design and development. You should have IT consulting experience, be team-oriented, possess effective written and verbal communication skills and be willing to travel (in some cases).

Required Experience
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• At least 5 years experience of enterprise web development participating in the complete product development life-cycle of several successful projects
• Experience with Web Services, XML, and Java a big advantage
• Must be well versed in ActionScript 3.0 and Flex libraries
• Must demonstrate a strong programming basis in at least one other major language such as Java, Perl, Python, or PHP
• Must possess proven knowledge of Object oriented principles and design patterns
• Must be knowledgeable about current Rich Internet Applications technologies, frameworks and tools
• A strong knowledge of the following technologies is required:
    • XML/XSLT
    • HTML/XHTML
    • W3C DOM methods and properties
    • CSS, DHTML, JavaScript
• Knowledge of Web Services, and Java a big advantage
